Science is an exploratory subject and humans are curious creatures. However, most students face difficulties not on the side of exploration but in interpreting tables, graphs and flow- charts. This hinders their understanding and by not re-reading to confirm their own understanding, students make careless mistakes and lose unnecessary marks.

Our Unique Learning Model

At ALC, our teacher deploy an unique Science learning model that will,

1. Fortify their understanding by providing notes to supplement our lessons
2. Provide students with sections that are challenging like graphs and tables while they learn to understand these visual-symbolic representations step-by-step.
3. Help our kids understand the questions well so that they can confidently apply the right techniques and concepts.

For example:
a) Relationship Question:
Follow a template :
As the *changed variable* increases/ decreases….
The *measured variable* increases/ decreases ….

b) Experiment based Question:
Thorough understanding of the aim of the experiment in order to identify changed variables, constant variables and measured variables

4.Identifying task words and knowing the differences like:
Questions with ‘State/ List / Describe’ … just requires stating or describing [no explanations needed]
Questions with ‘Give a Reason Why/ Explain’…. requires explaining in detail

5.Applying Techniques For Open Ended Questions:
a) Flowchart Technique (cause and effect technique)
b) Use “CER “: Claim, Evidence and Reasoning Technique
